Except with a much spiffier cat house. All of our outside cats are supposed to be barn cats, but nearly all of them hang out on our front porch. So we built them a house there.

I've lost count of how many we have now. People just dump them, and I can't stand not to feed them. They've all been spayed/neutered (except for Broken-Tail Bob, who just showed up. He goes next week), and have vaccinations (I order several boxes with 10 doses each, and give them myself).

There is no shelter in rural KY here. What else is a cat lover going to do? They all have names, and are quite social. We love them!

And saw a new, fat grey cat eating out of one of the dishes. I said, “Hi, kitty!”
It slowly turned around to look at me...
it was a big fat possum.

The cats don’t mind him, they were just hanging out, watching him eat.
