Related: About this forumDoes anyone have a dog with bladder stones history
and irritable bowel syndrome?
I had to take Snowy to the emergency vet last night after coming home from leaving her for several hours to a giant mess of vomit and diarrhea all over the apartment.
She's still there and still hadn't eaten as of 9 am. I call back at 4 to find out if she's better and able to eat.
Talking to the vet this am, she said they recently had a dog who had been on the food to prevent bladder stones reoccurring, and that apparently it can aggravate irritable bowel. Snowy has been on the Royal Canin urinary diet since July 2017. This is now the third episode since last October of apparently stress induced irritable bowel that has required vet care. She had vaccinations last Tuesday and it's possible that may be what triggered this attack. This is the worst episode so far.
The vet this am suggested I may want to get a consultation with a canine nutritionist and see if that helps with the problem.
Anybody with a similar experience?

I'll take her to our regular vet in 3-4 days and pursue the idea of a consultation with a canine nutritionist. There is a vet school here at NC State in Raleigh, so I expect it might not be difficult to find a canine nutritionist.
