My spouse over feeds the dogs. I've complained but that hasn't stopped him. They are large rotts and eat a lot of food and so far don't have weight issues but that day is coming. I try to keep an eye on how much food we have (we keep it in one of those large tub containers.) I order from chewy and have it shipped every 15 days but sometimes they go through more food than other times. Last week, I checked and it seemed like plenty of food to get them through the weekend but I placed a chewy order anyway. Shipping has been as fast as 2 days but occasionally it takes a bit longer. Ordered Wednesday. Over Feeder continued to over feed all weekend and then announced "I hope more dog food is on the way!"
I checked and the tracking said the box was left on the porch yesterday (Sunday). No food. We were home the whole day.
Typical Chewy was good about saying they'd send another box but the issue was the two big dogs literally licking the bowls looking for food.
Today I stopped by the store and bought a small bag of Tender and True. Never heard of it. Have you?
Dogs seemed to like it (begged for more but mom said no).
The price is cheaper than Chewy.
Anyone use this?

(4,033 posts)And call whoever the shipper was and ask them about where your box is. Believe it or now most shippers can now exactly where the box was left. When the driver scans the label to confirm he left the package, it gives the exact location where he left it as well. I've had a shipper tell me "I can't give you the actual address, but it looks like your package should be on the porch of a neighbor's house no more than two houses from you". Or "Well the driver left it at the right address on the wrong street. We'll get him back there right now."

My big/tall/120lb Lab ate one of those tall cans of green beans this evening. I rinse & cook the beans in diluted chicken broth for about 20mins & she gobbles them down.
She's such a volume eater, always begging if she doesn't have enough. She has one dry dog food meal earlier in the day but if we don't feed her green beans at night instead of dry dog food, she starts looking like a big, blonde Tellytubbie. Our other Lab is smaller, naturally thinner, & HATES green beans.
Btw, another plug for Chewy.com: they're tops!

But you know how dogs are. Mom, we're starrrrrrrrrving...
I think they must get sick of eating the same food cause they lapped up the Tender & True. Fed-ex may have done them a favor.
