At first, she painted it on the ringworm but as there was a lot left, she decided to paint the whole body to prevent future mycoses said Supamas ...
her whole body was covered in turmeric to prevent the infection from spreading further

I imagine that is why the cat parent used a food substance. If the cat licked it, it would not harm the kitty.
