Related: About this forumFinally pictures of all three cats!
Good news is they are all getting along. Maya and Lucas love to play chase. Sometimes Maya, Queen of the House, is chasing Lucas, and sometimes Lucas, the Prodigal Cat, is chasing Maya. Maya and Sabra tend to hang out in the bedroom in the sun, and today I found Lucas and Sabra in the two cat trees side by side.
I didn't get a shot of Maya who was intensely jealous - we only have two of that type of cat tree and she usually gets to smaller one so Maya found just the right sized box:
And Lucas was taking a break on the kitchen floor:
Oh - a third cat tree is on order and should be picked up tomorrow. Plus their catio - our screened porch - is almost finished and they get to check out the new floor treatment tomorrow!
It's great to see all the cats getting along and to see Sabra spending more and more of her time out from under the bed and in other parts of the house. She's still spooky, but not as frightened, especially when it is just my husband and me in the house.

(34,189 posts)All three have been going in and out but they are still not sure they are allowed out there. I walked by the door and they panicked. Maya came in the door - which is only cracked open since it's fifty degrees outside - first, then Lucas and Sabra tried to come in at the same time and got stuck. It was funny, but sad that they panicked. We do have a cat door onto the porch, but I don't want to teach them how to use it until the paint touch up is completed.

(39,253 posts)I have a shelf in my greenhouse where they can go and watch the various wildlife that visits here, which is everything from deer to foxes, groundhogs, squirrels, chippies. I'll try to find a picture and post it. But once they get used to it, it will be the high point of their day. I have a hard time getting them to come back in. I confess I do things like take half 'n half, snacks, and even dinner to them. Sometimes I go out and brush them. Is that ever a big deal.
I'll see if I can find a pic of my greenhouse and post it.
Lucked out: found it right away.
The shelf is waist-high and I cover it with a rug. In the summer, there's a door and they can come and go at will. However, in the winter I have to shut that off because it's too cold, so I take them out, one at a time. They never want to come in, so I know they love it.
Oh yeah, for colder days, there's a heated mat out there.

(34,189 posts)Maya spends most of the day watching the birds, frogs and lizards. She is a very good hunter. I watched her chase a tiny spider across the floor the other day. Finally she licked her lips and the spider was nowhere to be seen. I'm glad she is inside the catio so she's not out there chasing our wildlife!
Tonight I closed up the cat door onto the porch - Maya taught herself how to go through it and Lucas knows how to go through. We had to close the patio door onto the catio last night because it was getting chilly and Lucas wouldn't come in. Later he walked around grumbling so he had to come through the cat door. Sabra hasn't learned and I get the feeling she is not very comfortable on the catio. Mostly she sits right at the edge of the door and looks out.
Tomorrow the painters are coming to do the final touch ups on various places in and around the house - that's why we closed the patio door since we don't want the cats out there while they are working.
What a great assortment of plants you have! I'll have to put some plants safe for cats on the porch - but we're not putting solid panels in this year so they will have to be cold hardy or come in the house for really cold nights.
