I hope these last two nights, with Madoc, are what I can expect from here out

Friday night he was bouncing off the walls and trying to shred me and the bed linens. I had to put him in his play room. Saturday night, and especially last night, he was an angel. A little bit of zoomie action but then he snuggled up next to me and fell asleep. Last night we were both zonked by 9. I woke up at 2:30 and he was still curled up and sleeping. I fell back to sleep until 5:30, fed him, crawled back into bed and fell asleep AGAIN until almost 7:30. So the ferals were fed a little late, as was I. But, if I count the hours I actually slept, it was more than I have in longer than I can remember.

He's a treasure

1. My little 11-year-old outdoor cat wanted to come inside for petting last night but he wouldn't let

Me close the door. I can’t leave it open because my indoor cat will make a run for it and then all hell will break loose. I really don’t know how to entice this guy to stay inside for a little while. I am worried about him when cold weather comes it’s only a little chilly now. He’s so affectionate and loves me to pet him. He seems like he’s in pretty good health, but he still a little skittish as he was a feral. I’ll have to see what develops here.My indoor cat was very lovey-dovey last night and slept on my legs on the couch for hours. It was very beneficial to my health. Indoor and outdoor cats get along because they had around when he lived outside before I brought him in and adopted him. He still likes to go sit by the door and visit with him through the window

And he's been in total bliss, being able to explore ALMOST the entire house, instead of just the den. So far, no problems but I'm not letting my guard down.

The ferals weren't quite so patient, this morning. I'm not sure, but I think Skittish scolded me.

4. He has lots to explore, sweet boy. And I have no doubt that you were scolded. Funny

He can watch the birds at the feeders. He's not quite sure about a new space, yet, and is back on my lap. Which is fine. I'm going to put a chair out on the porch and sit there with him so he can understand it's a fun play space, when the sun heats the room.

...revel in watching him in there.

We refer to the birds that frequent our patio as built-in entertainment for the cats. Our big tabby makes the chattering bird noise at mourning doves, but not at any of the smaller birds.
