Did you check with zoning and get a permit?

(4,552 posts)I am of the opinion that zoning is the single biggest threat to our freedom in America.
Here is southeastern Pa I need a permit to cut my trees or dig a hole. Our zoning also dictates architecture for some uses.
We are not allowed to park a camper anywhere in front of OUR home. My community recently charged the local hospital an impact fee for an addition they are building. Hospitals are a community asset and have no negative impact. I complained but they did it anyway.
I own 16 acres but I am not allowed to build homes for my two sons on this property!
Zoning is out of control in our area.
The biggest shocker is that repukes love zoning.
