Our sweet Happy passed early this morning

We could tell he wasn't feeling well. It's tough to get in to see the vet since the pandemic started. We managed to get him an appointment for today, but he didn't make it.

The emergency vet is more than an hour away and our vehicle is unreliable--we just couldn't get him there.

I held him through the night until he passed shortly after 4 a.m.

Here he is a few months ago, up on his perch that Al made for him.




He was a good boy. I know We're not supposed to have favorites with the "kids," but he was my favorite. He had a way of enjoying our attention without being overly needy. He brought us much joy.
