I'm flashing back to when I brought Madoc and his siblings inside. Sophie Stinky Toes wanted NOTHING to do with them. She'd hiss, swat, run away, or just flat out ignore them. But then she was an older cat who had been an only cat for a couple of years.
The boys are settling right in with the kittens. Gryff is big into butt sniffing. Madoc does a lot of observing, from near and far. But there has been zero aggression.
And Madoc was the size of Arthur, just over 9 months ago.

(26,251 posts)I'm bringing them down, for about an hour, a couple of times a day. I figure that way nobody gets overwhelmed.
When they are up in the bedroom they boys can still see them through the screen door window I'm using as a barrier. For some reason they don't seem interested in jumping over that. They just stretch out and observe. And if I'm in the room with the kittens I hold them out for the boys to sniff.
I'm so looking forward to seeing that first cuddle. I suspect it will be with Gryff.
