Arthur really let me know I'm 'one of them', last night

Gryff was grooming Madoc's head while Arthur was behind me, sitting on the back of the chair. All of a sudden I felt something on MY head. Yes, Arthur was grooming me.

I didn't think he could get any sweeter, and then he proves me wrong.

2. Arthur and Gryff reached a compromise on the whole lap situation

As long as he can be the one on the inside and right next to me, Gryff is FINE with Arthur sitting on the outside.

Fortunately, Madoc is content, sitting next to me.

5. I can't wait for my best friend/honorary sister to get here.

She's a SUPER cat lady. I think she has at least 7, right now, and she's done rescuing and fostering for many years.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes her to win over Gryff. He's very shy of strangers. For a while he simply disappeared until they were gone. Then he started hanging out in the hallway, watching. Now he cautiously approaches and if he REALLY senses you are a cat person, he will let you touch his head. The prize is if he hops on your lap and starts to nuzzle. My brother almost teared up when Gryff fully accepted him. My bro is a big cat person, too.

Madoc and Arthur are attention seekers. They will be strutting their cuteness from the instant she walks in the door.

8. I recently watched an online video about cat behavior.

It said that cats doing the grooming are claiming dominance over the one being groomed.
