someone from England. That is one of the words that separates "English" from "American". So is the use of words like Hospital and Holiday not getting "the" or "a" infront of them as a definate article.

For a westerner, the sentence structure is almost backwards and the adjectives have time, so it takes some getting used to. I know enough to place simple orders in a restaurant, or explain that I am Japanese (draws looks of skepticism), or explain that I understand nothing (far more credible). Wakaranai!
