from a friend: famous Battle of Thermopylae

- 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐫 (𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟔, 𝟎𝟏-𝐌𝐚𝐫-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 : This scene reminds me of the famous Battle of Thermopylae over 2,500 years ago, as the invading Persian army of 300,000 tried to march into and conquer Greece. But they got stuck (bottle-necked) through a narrow pass called the 'Gates of Fire', where 300 Spartans and several thousand mostly "untrained" or nonprofessional soldiers of Greeks defended their freedom.
In this time of history, Kyiv is Thermopylae, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be remembered as the brave Spartan king, Leonidas with his vastly smaller army of heroic citizen soldiers who stood their ground- defending their homeland against these invaders. But President Vladimir Putin will be remembered like the defeated and disgraced pseudo-demigod, Xerxes, who cowardly watched from his throne and ultimately destroyed his nation and humiliated its people.
But it is my (our) hope that the Ukrainians, as well as the Russian people, will defeat Putin in the immediate and urgent future for the sake of humanity.
