Bit historie:Between 1772-1795 after the 3parts splitting from Polen was the Ukraine rus.The hitherto almost uninhabited steppe areas in the southeast were made arable and populated mostly with Russians, but also with Germans. About 70 German settlements were built here.Thats a old conflict.You must know the history before you understand whats going on there.
