Washington state approves 334 retail pot stores...

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Marijuana could be on Washington State store shelves by June 1, 2014, according to the Chair of the Liquor Control Board.

"We are making history," said Chair Sharon Foster after the three-member board voted unanimously to approve rules for the production, processing and sale of marijuana.

The board decided 334 retailers will be granted licenses by the state. Based on population, sellers in King County would be allowed the most licenses, with 61.
------
The board estimates the legal marijuana market will replace about 13 percent of the illegal market when sales begin next spring.

because I thought the Administration was going to come after Washington and Colorado before their respective initiatives were fully implemented..It's as step forward, albeit a slight one, that at least publicly they're taking a wait and see approach. I do have concerns though. These US attorneys need to be reigned in. They're basically going rogue. I was under the impression Holder was their boss, but he sure doesn't act like it.

Just curious how the state pot is priced compared to the black-market.
