Nugent likens gun activists to civil rights pioneer

http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlepolitics/2013/01/10/nugent-likens-gun-activists-to-civil-rights-pioneer/

The “Motor City Madman” is running off at the mouth again.

Aging rocker, reality TV figure, and National Rifle Association director Ted Nugent is warning of a “confiscatory directing” on guns from the Obama administration, and likening anticipated resistance to the brave, non-violent stand of civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks.

Parks was a tired department store worker who, in December of 1955, refused to give up her seat in the “colored” section of a Montgomery, Alabama, bus to a white man — the whites-only section was full — in an action that triggered a bus boycott and gave voice to a young minister named Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In an interview with WouldNetDaily — voice of the “birthers” who claim President Obama was not born in the United States — Nugent held forth. He is already on record, at the 2012 NRA convention, saying: “If Barack Obama becomes the President in November, again, I will be either dead or in jail by this time next year.”

Is (1) having to first get past the self-elected knuckleheads who have way more energy than I do... and the (2) determining whether you have someone to discuss it intelligibly from the other side of things.

Nugent wears flies the Confederate Flag and has advocated assassinating the first black President on at least three occasions. He is exactly the sort of person that Rosa Parks was protesting against, she would be totally offended to hear that asshole speak her name.

Anyone who thinks this guy should be allowed to own guns is insane.

I do agree with you that he should shut up though, the guy makes horrible music and is probably the biggest idiot in the whole music industry.
