Gun Control & RKBA
Related: About this forumThe state of Tennessee revoked a gun nut's carry permit because he made threats
I hope we see more of this.
Dumbass GOP/NRA "Shall Issue" carry laws should all be repealed and no one except law enforcement should be allowed to carry a concealed firearm.

I'll be willing to agree with you that if the person made threats he should be punished, possibly with something more than the revoking of a permit.

Give me a list of people who have argued that poor people shouldn't be allowed to vote, and it'll also be a list of people who support gun proliferation. So why is it that all the oligarchs are also pro-gun? The answer is based on ideology.

(17,502 posts)to put up the facade of being for the working class esp rural working class, a block the Dems pissed off. They don't like Evangelicals, white or black, but are more than happy to exploit them for their purposes. Same thing with gun owners. That is why GOP talks about family values but that is it. A lot of old time conservatives were and are anti gun. Bill Buckley, Ron Reagan, Mitt, George Will, just to name a few.
Besides, by depressing wages they get a de facto ban for the rest of us, while they can still afford all the guns they want. In short, they want a UK style gun culture, just by other means. Trust me, in the UK the rich have all the gun permits they want.

Well I guess you've got me there. I strongly believe that everyone should be allowed to vote, and I do not support " gun proliferation." I do, however, support the right of every mentally healthy, law-abiding individual to own and carry a gun if he or she chooses to do so.

(49,445 posts)They're not paranoid?
How about the people that think the buffoonish caricatures created by editorial cartoons are real, and fear them so much they demand that the government disarms them?
Do you really think that you are at any risk of being killed by a member of a "patriot militia"? Trust me, if the remote chance of you dying from a gunshot would come through, there's a damn good change the gunman isn't old, isn't white, isn't wearing camo, isn't waving an "assault weapon", and doesn't care about your political ideology.
The oligarchy support them only because they can control them, convince them to vote to make corporations stronger and government weaker. Trust me, if liberals were the ones buying most of the guns, you'd get all the gun control laws you wanted.

I'll make it even simpler for you. Simply produce some reliable statistics that people with concealed weapons permits misuse their firearms more than "trained and qualified law enforcement."

(2,927 posts)... in the state legislature support RKBA and "Shall Issue" -- are they "gun nuts" too? Or, is it just the Republicans who take the same position?
Maybe this is a question that transcends party?
