"The man was apparently attempting to rob the Chase Bank and he was shot by a security guard in the lobby, police said.

The man entered the bank lobby and produced a long gun from under his coat.

The two security guards on staff ordered the man to drop the weapon and drew their weapons on the gunman, police said."

I'm surprised by this, I thought the usual thing to do was let the robber rob the place.

Do you think the bank is paying for armed guards to let the place get robbed? They could hire cheaper, unarmed guards to do that.

4. I HAVE NOT SEEN A GUARD IN A BANK IN YEARS

I must live in the WRONG place if I never see an armed guard. The article said TWO armed guards and this means this bank was in a really BAD place.

It is good news that something BAD was prevented. Taking from OTHERS is always WRONG. I hope the criminal gets HARD TIME and the guards are given rewards and praise.
