Marine shot while walking with his girlfriend

A U.S. marine is listed in critical, but stable, condition after he was shot during a robbery in Richmond, Virginia, according to the Richmond Police Department.

After the couple gave the man money, the man shot the marine, police said.

Another case of "just give them what they want" gone bad. No wonder more people are becoming gun owners.

Headlines should be concise, snappy and comprehensive, but not at the price of accuracy. This one had me expecting to read a story about either a gun-toting nut on the loose or a sniper. Journalism much?

I'm sure that even Tony Soprano would have thought twice about pulling a gun on a solider in uniform.

as they can not easily carry personal weapons to/from base.

They may, in states with open or concealed carry, be the safest people to shoot. Sadly.
