Shannon lets the mask slip...Again.

When moms demand action came into being, they were quick to claim ""Our message is that, you know first of all, were not anti-gun, we support the second amendment...":

The truth of the matter, however, is that Shannon Watts is the leader of an anti-gun group so extreme, that it opposed the opening of gun stores in a place where background checks would be universal:

"Moms Demand Action Deeply Disappointed in Federal Judge’s Decision Overturning Chicago’s Citywide Ban on Gun Dealerships"

http://momsdemandaction.org/in-the-news/moms-demand-action-deeply-disappointed-federal-judges-decision-overturning-chicagos-citywide-ban-gun-dealerships/

And Shes gotten into the habit of letting the mask slip, and speaking honestly:

Well, she let it slip again:

Its a nice innocent song and dance about "universal background checks", but registration - the holy grail of gun banners and stupid strict gun control supporters and proponents - is what they're after.

1. If Ted Nugent,

Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry, Rand Paul and Huckabuck are against it. I'm for it too.

3. I wouldn't be so eager to use the associational fallacy, if I were you...

Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Sheldon Silver, arrested for corruption...

...And before anyone plays the "attacking a Democrat" card, see this thread, and note the sentiments:

“What we are looking for is a complete ban on assault weapons,” Silver said.

Speaking of the "innocent children" slain at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Silver added: “If nothing else... hopefully the passage of reasonable gun control legislation nationally and in New York would at least be some kind of memorial.”

Koch Brother Wages 12-Year Fight Over Wind Farm

...Mr. Koch is not the only opponent of Cape Wind.
The late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat, whose Hyannis family compound also looked out on Nantucket Sound, opposed the project too...

4. Great point as

that's what the poster did using one person, Shannon as an example of a whole group. That would be the same as using Ted Nugent as speaking for all members of the NRA.

5. the difference is,

she is the whole group. Bloomberg hired her firm, Popvox Public Relations LLC, to create an astro turf group to be the "MADD" of guns. A month before their creation, Bloomberg and his staff were using NYC government email to discuss how to create it. Someone filed a city equivalent to a FOIA, and got the whole dump.
The few protesters who show up might be "likes" on Facebook, or paid employees. The armed body guards at these events are certainly paid.
Since Watts is speaking as a Bloomberg employee, she is speaking for Bloomberg. Since she is MDA, she is also speaking for it.
Oh yes, she really was the PR chief for Monsanto, you know the "Round up is harmless" people.

Nugent on the other hand, is one out of about 70 board members of an organization of about five million dues paying members.

Remember when Mark Glaze said that "Bloomberg didn't pay him for his work." Literally, that was true. What he forgot to mention was that Bloomberg hired a K Street firm called the Raben group, who employs Mr. Glaze. While Bloomberg didn't pay Glaze, Bloomberg paid his employer, who in turn paid him.

8. FWIW, she also worked on the "GMO foods are good for your children" campaign

So obviously we can all trust her, since I'm sure she feeds her children GMO Veggies every day and probably resents having armed guards following her to events.

But to control "fans" I guess armed guards are not really hypocrisy, that's just more proof of how "dangerous" those gun owners are.

6. Not really.

Great point as

that's what the poster did using one person, Shannon as an example of a whole group. That would be the same as using Ted Nugent as speaking for all members of the NRA.

Shannon Watts is the founder and executive director of Moms Demand Action, a two-year-old organization with approximately 130 thousand members. Ted Nugent is one of 76 members of the Board of Directors of the NRA, a 150-year-old organization with approximately 5 million members.

I think it's safe to say that Watts exemplifies Moms Demand Action to a far greater degree than Nugent exemplifies the NRA.

7. Saying you support the 2A but are disappointed in the overturning of a law banning gun stores is

like saying you support the right to birth control but are disappointed in the overturning of a law banning stores from selling birth control.

The word is "duplicity."
