Saw these magazines and coupler in a recent online ad.

Do you think this gets around mag limit laws? I don't recall any of the state statutes restricting magazine capacity mentioning couplers so I think it does.

Mako "Starfish" Magazine Set Includes Five 10 Round Magazines and a Pentagon Coupler
This "Starfish" mag set is one of the most innovative products offered. The set includes Five 10 round magazines and in the center of it all is the mag coupler that securely holds them all together allowing you to quickly release and insert another mag while rotating the pentagon. Assembly is required, but very simple and each magazine holds ten rounds of .223 ammunition; aluminum construction.

They're 10 round magazines so they don't violate any limits IMO tularetom Jun 2015 #2
I guess my point is I don't think this would exist if 25+ round mags were legal everywhere. aikoaiko Jun 2015 #4

They are all compliant and not "getting around" any law. Not my cup of tea though.

But, what's the point? You still have to change out just like if the other four magazines were in your pocket.

It might look cool but I don't see any advantage to them.

It just made me think about state laws and whether or not any mentioned couplers.

I suppose the advantage is that such a coupler might make mag changes a bit quicker (maybe not cause it looks awkward) and one wouldn't have to carry 4 other mags in your holders somewhere on your body.

...design a single rifle that would accept 3 10 round mags, one below the receiver and two others on either side at near 90 degrees with the first. I figured it would be a loophole.
