A strange article from arizona where the man that decapitated his wife and dogs, somehow becomes a call for more gun control. It is sad that for this paper, even when it is NOT about any gun, it becomes about the gun...

Imagine how much worse the death toll could have been if the mentally ill man accused in Phoenix of decapitating his wife and pets, had chosen a gun instead of a knife.

LOL, nice touch, notice how he asks us to use our "imagination", he clearly has.

The evidence of his further danger to the public and intent to cause mayhem is that after killing his victims he proceeded to mutilate himself.

3. I have a similar reaction when I hear ... "thank heavens no one had a gun"

When you hear of a madman killing people execution style. A'la the Lane Bryant murders of 5 unarmed women. Or the Brown Chicken killings of the entire staff.

Inevitably someone comes up with that line. As if it could somehow be worse if someone else was able to resist in any effective way.

I just scratch my head and walk away thinking, "Yeah, than heavens no one injured that murderer".
