Hey, fellow RKBAers.

Despite my searching, I can't seem to find any archive or compilation of what we, as RKBA proponents, have come up with when it comes to solving the gun violence issue. Can anyone direct me to a post or series of posts like that, or if not, would anyone be willing to actually start up something of a symposium where we can actually focus our efforts and offer up proposals that might stand a chance of actually doing anything?

I'd like to get a few like minded folks onboard, but I know how things roll here, so I won't blame you if you're a bit skeptical of my intentions.

Thanks for your time and consideration, folks. Stay safe out there. o7

EDIT: Holy crap, this was my thousandth post? Sweet. Also kind of sad, but sweet.

So can't point you to past threads, but I certainly support efforts to reduce gun violence. Although the mass shootings grab the headlines, the fatalities in those shootings are something like 1/10th of the murders that occur on an annual basis. So if the goal is to decrease gun deaths, let's focus on the root causes of those murders, like the drug war, poverty and the lack of quality education for all. In any event, a ban on guns is both unconstitutional and completely unrealistic, so shouldn't even be in the conversation. If your starting point in negotiations is grounded in fantasy then negotiations won't get far.

And it's got nothing to do with "Gun death" necessarily, much more to do with crime and criminality. Focus on that, and I think we can slowly start to turn around the "gun control" movement to something reputable and fuckin' sane, Gods forbid, without ever restricting the right of anyone to own a firearm (within obvious reason; no need for a minigun.)

You would have to search, I know I have stated at least a dozen times in different threads. Mainly in this group. Some probably in GD.

I was hoping there was a repository of some kind, or at least a catalog that was organized here. Honestly, I'm surprised there isn't one.

Welp, if there ain't one yet, there should be. You interested in helping out a bit?

Still, I'm in no rush. Nothing is accomplished with haste. I'll piddle along with it in the meantime.
