Guns were once the one issue I was closer to Repubs on. Not anymore.
My opinion hasnt changed. They have simply become so extreme that I just dont agree with them. Universal background checks is a no brainer. Having said that I cant support tying gun ownership to a mysterious terror list that nobody can or will explain.

2. He went though the background check
Since he worked for a security company, you know the people who Bloomberg thinks should have guns, he had a type G CCW, he could legally carry in schools and bars just like a cop. He wasn't on any watch list when he purchased the guns.
Since he bought them from an FFL, he went through the background check. What if he used automatic weapons, which are as accessible in Europe as a bag of pot, like the terrorists in Europe? The more head in the sand bullshit and selective religious bigotry on the regressive left, the more I detest them. |

3. The concept of universal background checks has a 90% approval.
The problem is the bad implementation that keeps getting proposed.

4. Casey's proposal is accompanied by bans on "assault weapons," and "magazine extensions," etc.
It's the "Just A Begining" approach which is the easy toss to first to end the inning. Everytime.

5. That is what happens when folks are not serious
about solving the problem.
Politicians long ago figured out that paying lip service to the solution is good enough for the majority of the voters. |
