poster look stupid.

It is also used to describe bikers which is also stupid.

If you want to say something help make it socially unacceptable to carry guns on your person.

I don't like having people with guns around me and wish the spaces where guns cannot be carried would grow so that we can avoid the places where they are.

But the little penis thing will not help my cause at all, possibly make it more difficult.

For me all that does is point out who do ignore, who has nothing useful to say.

I am a law abiding citizen. I don't go around shooting people. I don't own an AR-15, not do I ever want one. I'm a Democrat. I have a medium sized penis.

I hope that I don't make you feel uncomfortable .... Ever. I conceal my 9mm pistol very well, and you would never know that I have it on me.

In no other country is there the need for people to carry around a gun on their person. There is something wrong in our thinking.

I have been here much longer than my current name shows and have been through many many gun debates here and have heard it all.

We have a very bad gun culture in this country and I hope to hell it is dying out.

is on my side, you have to ignore what you have to ignore. Your post confirms what I have been saying for years: it is a culture war, not a search for solutions for social problems. It is also kind of a moral panic issue just line pot was in the 1930s, switchblade knives in the 1950s, rock/hip-hop music in the 1980s, and video games in the 1990s.
I busted a gut laughing when Trump started to talk about video games. There are more violent video games and "assault weapons" than in 1995, but half of the mass murders as back then.

We have a gang problem, but that has more to do with the drug war and wealth inequality.
As for rest, it is individualism and the Enlightenment. True liberalism. It won't be dying out, it is growing.

I am very much in favor of allowing for geographical variance for certain actions. For the most part, I prefer that states make laws for intrastate acts by state residents and visitors. Certain rather rural areas should have permissive open carry allowances. (Example: When camping or hiking in Katmai NP, you don't want to have fumble in a bag for a gun and ammo when there's a bear 30 feet away.) I think all states should permit private property owners/venue operators the discretion to decide to permit or exclude private carrying. If carrying is excluded then lockers and parking areas must permit a lock gun.

Certain federal actions and laws make sense within the current established regulations. Banning bump stocks from sales by FFLs is one thing I'm okay with.

Aspects of the background check system need change and updates. BGCs need to be available to individuals for private sales. Work also needs to be done to mandate data getting into the BGC system.

I'm not crazy about unregulated (no permit required) CC. The feds also need to establish certain reciprocity between states regarding carry laws.

I also favor changes to enhance a militia based system but that's another story.
