Time to buy Ruger and Glock stock

stock up on ammo.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/01/romney-quietly-meets-with-bloomberg/?partner=rss&emc=rss

It was the first meeting between Mr. Bloomberg, the billionaire media mogul, and Mr. Romney, the former chief executive of a private equity firm.
Over coffee and juice, the two discussed several staples of Mr. Bloomberg’s agenda in Washington over the last decade: the economy, immigration, education and even gun control (a topic on which the two man are not entirely on the same page).

During one of the debates, all Obama has to do is ask Mitt "which one of us signed an AWB?"
This is probably off topic but how will the NRA (and the kind of right leaning to centrist gun owners in general) react if Bloomberg endorses Mitt? Will they stay home or vote their wallet?

I know this is off topic, but one of the readers comments:
Bloomberg has ruled, not governed, as a right wing ideologue who uses social issues, such as gay rights and gun control, to give New Yorkers the impression that he's liberal. He's decimated public education, attempted to privatize everything that moves (remember Stephen Goldmith, the Deputy Mayor and his snow removal policies), hired consultants with no-bid contracts costing the city billions, presided over many scandals, like CityTime, that he bought his way out of, has attempted to create a "nanny state" with his paternalistic view of others, and never let democracy get in the way of a third term. I could go on! He and Willard have a lot in common, much more than their wealth. However, remember the words of Balzac- "Behind every fortune there is a great crime."
I really don't follow NYC issues, but it does not surprise at all. Plutocrats want power for themselves and not the serfs. That includes, to kind of paraphrase Mao, the power that comes out of a barrel of a gun.

3. Howsabout Beretta? Just saw where Levi Johnson/ston (think Palin's daughter) named his kid Beretta.

A new gun culture icon . . . . . and likely future NRA board member.

4. Not trying to quote a movie but...

...who would name their kid 'Levi'? That's just as strange as Bristol.

14. He isn't my buddy, but if he owns stock in S&W it's fine with me. I think I'll put another 20K

in it tomorrow. I inherited 2 million and I plan to invest in American companies. Are there any others you think I should avoid?

18. Real estate!

Trading paper for paper right now is not wise.
I too just inherited a huge sum of money, and am fortunate enough to be friends with several extremely savvy investment 1%ers.

They all say the same thing. Land values are depressed, no one can get a loan for land, and cash is king.

I just bought 265 acres with 50% of the minerals south of La Grange (Eagleford Shale), and will probably have at least 1 well on it within two years. (Thank you, miss you, and love you mom and dad)

I am so glad the estate tax was never reenacted, it would have cost me well over 5 million.

The piss and moan crowd can cry me a fucking river - I was raised in and my parents lived in a 1300 sq ft house, owned a 2004 Honda Accord when they passed (first brand new car they ever bought), dad was a plant worker and mom was a high school teacher.
They saved every penny they could, and we lived cheap. They had already paid income taxes on every penny of that money and the interest it had earned.

Welcome to DU

19. I recently bought some more land, the 20 acres next to mine.

Paid cash, fellow would not take gold for it. Had to sell some of my gold coins(Krugerrands) to pay.

26. Welcome to DU fellow liberal and, or progressive.

With an extra 20 grand, you might think about a $5 donation to this site to help support other liberal gun rights supporters. With the star you'll get, you can use other features and increase your chance of being on a jury by 40%.

5. I just thought of Glock off of the top of my head but

are Glock and Beretta traded in US stock markets or just Austrian and Italian respectively?
With a name like Beretta, he sounds more like a future Italian Shooting Union or ISSF board member.

I just hope the kid did not inherit Grandma's intellect.

27. Yeah, that was pretty telling.

Anyone that knew their way around a rifle knew damn well she'd never held that rifle before in her life.
She had no idea what she was doing, and shouldn't be shooting at a live animal. Should shoot paper till proficient, and THEN you can hunt. Otherwise, you're likely to wound the animal.

I don't know any hunters that don't strive for a clean, painless as possible kill. She was just blasting away like an asshole.

He didn't just sign something the state legislature forced down his throat, he enthusiastically supported it. In fact, I believe he REQUESTED it.
