The military budget for 2015 is either $500 or $526 billion dollars after a 5.9% cut. Have some balls. Be a dick. I suggest we cut this military budget by at least 25%.

Take 25% of $500 billion dollars (every year) and use it to repair our national infrastructure ( http://tinyurl.com/p87v5sk
). Take old naval ships ( we still have mothballed WW I destroyers rusting away on the west coast), and melt them down for steel to build bridges. We could avoid selling aircraft carriers for one penny ( http://tinyurl.com/lqzlvon ) and put a shitload of people back to work at the same time.

If we were smart, we would start a national infrastructure project (WPA style) paid for by these cuts. How many good paying jobs could we get out of fixing our infrastructure?

More jobs, more taxes, more middle class wages.
