That's cool. DashOneBravo Jun 2016 #5
We jumped from C-119s, with the T-10 chutes which gave you quite a jolt when opening. demosincebirth Jun 2016 #2
They had T10C in late 80's DashOneBravo Jun 2016 #3

I supported the 82nd (not a jumper) and C17s came after I left the service. My time was C141s and C130s.

I always liked a C130 better plus it could fly very low and make guys sick. Someone was always hung over.

To me a 141 didn't seem like a real jump.

But I jumped MC1-1B some too. They had just gotten the -1C when I was getting out.

The Dashonebravo (my id) and the T10C didn't have bad opening shocks. I never jumped the -1C.

Were the C119 able to jump from side and tailgate also? It's a funky looking plane.

made one. C-119's were the nosiest planes I have ever been in. We were crunched in there like sardines. You actually had to yell in the guys ear next to you to say something. One last thing, a lot of burp bags were used on every jump. Many times I was really glad to to leave the aircraft!

You couldn't even hear the jump commands sometimes.

Did they tell you guys to shove the barf bags in your shirts and jump? We always left them for our Air Force brethrens

They have made it so easy anyone can do it. It's like a walk in the park. 😉

Thanks for posting that.

Here's when real paratroopers had to get your weapon and 70 lb ruck up and hit the prop blast. I think this must be a Headquarters Company. It's some shitty exits. 😬
