The Fayetteville VA Medical Center will temporarily convert its emergency department to an urgent care clinic due to staff issues, officials said Thursday.
The Fayetteville VA emergency department will make the transition Friday. It will continue in the new role until the issues are resolved.
The change is being made with patient safety in mind, officials said.
In a release, VA officials said the change was necessitated by staffing issues with the contractor operating the Fayetteville VA's emergency department.
