2. True as airborne infantry

We usually go to work in middle of night when I hit 82nd went to 325th. My plt sgt told me you will like it here because we're always on the go. And you have edge your single , his comments went over my bean. I figured it out later divorce was rampant especially amongst first enlistment men. And a month or so later he pulled me aside and said you will try for your EIB. HE was fine nco not a lifer but career nco and he cared for us.

3. I miss Hollywood jumps

I don't miss the fucking combat equipment jumps. Or taking 25 ft of bark off a pine tree with my pack tray or getting up at 0330 and doing all the hurry up and wait shit until the jump and then realizing that once you land that's when your ass starts humping. Could of cut off about 7 hours just riding in a track lol

I'm glad you are taking care of him. The best people to take care of those kind of guys are younger versions.

4. True

Laying their in pain because you just met a tree and looking up at night sky thinking why the shit did I volunteer for this as your legs are tingling from and your body not really liking your most recent collision with Mother Earth. And thinking yea wonder we all our real tactical mothers as everyone around you is tossing out choice adjectives under hushed breath.
And making enough noise that a deaf person could find you. Or the oh geez I gotta piss real bad moment and you on DZ on your knees pissing because it is quieter to piss on your knees And dudes around you doing same. And your thinking did my brother studs do a mass tactical piss on D DAY.

5. LOL I'd forgot about pissing

Don't forget the puke covering everything cause some hungover guy farted and started a chain reaction. Stifling hot low level flight for long time. Man at least we didn't have to clean the aircraft. They said tuck the barf bag in your uniform blouse and jump. No fucking way. That's what the air crew get paid to do.
