I'm reading this book on east front ww2

And it is memoirs of a German soldier who fought 41 months in Russia. And in this battle afterwards with Russian infantry who were wounded , the Wehrmacht was supplying there soldiers with rations. And the German soldiers shared rations with Russian wounded prisoners doing battle rhzev from 1942 to 43 if I read correctly.

Out of hate brutality a moment of compassion is what I gather perhaps understanding. governments cause this stupid shit.

I had never heard the term 'wind talkers' until the film came out. Stupid Hollywood bullshit.

3 to Afghanistan and 1 to Iraq I spent far more time patching up and CASEVACing enemy wounded than our own guys

Often at great risk to ourselves

Nothing like trying to stabilize and evac a wounded insurgent while his buddies are still trying to kill you

The United States Army Nurse Corps. These women are rarely ever recognized for their work, their comfort, their dedication, their diligence or their courage.

FAR MORE books should be written about these Ladies.
