Senator Bennet raises concerns over implementation of new Veterans Health Care Law

U.S. Senator Michael Bennet has framed an objection to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert Wilkie over the implementation in Colorado of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MISSION Act. The bipartisan act became law in 2018, and requires the VA to develop a Community Care Program to streamline and improve health care options for all veterans.

1. Oh come on... these are not objections, but concerns. The VA has been outsourcing some...

procedures for years, and opening clinics for other services. Sounds like the Senator is simply hoping they don't screw it up.

My primary VA hospital is 45 miles away, but a few years ago they opened a satellite for primary care, rehab, and other things two miles down the road. They have about a dozen in the county now, and the Mission Act seems to simply codify what they have been doing.
