Neighbors from Hell

Noisy rock music 3 nights a week, target practice on many weekends, afraid to complain, townships don't enforce zoning anyway.

Music's been going on a year, other issues 5-10

All I want to do is move, but how do you sell a property with neighbors like these?

Surely I'm not the only one with neighbors from hell

My 7lb maltipoo loves to bark in the backyard. I limit it to no more than 30 minutes per day. The neighbor has complained to the village. I can't stand the idea of Kiki behind bars.

For bucolic_frolic, ask your neighbor if they have any friends who want to buy your property. I could not live with that. Sorry.

He wasn't a maltipoo. I guess he was an English Shepherd mix. He was a barker. He'd bark at a leaf falling. He'd get a sing-a-long going with all of the other dogs within a couple of blocks. I'd "ground" him all the time by making him come in the house, and he'd act all heartbroken. We'd discuss it, and he'd look at me with those beautiful eyes, but I always won the discussion. Nobody ever complained about him, but I think it was just that we have super nice neighbors.

Our neighbor now has a barker, but I really don't even notice. I notice crying, but barking is easy for me to tune out.

Good luck with Kiki.

Had a professional Rock Band that their kids started. I love to shoot in my back yard and they love to practice the band!!

One day we talked and they asked are we bothering you? I said No! Am I bothering you? No!! Okay then, no issues!

Maximizing property value is complex. I could strip out some timber, but does it enhance, or detract?
I'm sure running at minimum cost to boost bottom line from the property.

Of the 12 years I lived there, we spent 8 of those in court. I had animals killed, property destroyed, was assaulted, you name it.

Back in KY, I have neighbors on one side that can be greatly annoying, even a quarter mile down the road. They'll just start banging away sometimes with no warning, and we all jump 6 feet in the air. Very glad though that one son they had finally flew the coop. He would sit in their driveway for an entire weekend, gunning the engine on his old rusted out truck. Black tire marks up and down the road from him spinning out all the time. If we were out when he zoomed past, he'd flip us off. I'll let our 2 Great Pyrenees that think they should warn us of an ant farting, bark for awhile before I bring them in, and feel no remorse.

But definitely not going to court.......

probably wouldn't be there during the hours the neighbors are being annoying. Is there a law there that they must be told about the neighbors? If not, just be careful about when potential buyers come to look.

Pennsylvania has some full disclosure laws. Realtors will ask about neighbors.
And actually, the uproar sometimes happens daytimes, weekdays, weekends, randomly.

Live rock band in open air barn, no that is a night time phenomenon thus far.

We didn't talk to them for over 7 years. We called the live in boyfriend Mullet Head because of his full on Mullet. Anyway they drive their ugly ATM up and down our fence line yelling at us. Then the little boy got a little motorcycle that he drove up and down our fence line. Then the little boy took his muffler off and rode up and down our fence line. They target practice into our property where the sheep graze.

I think they shot and killed about 5 of our chickens. We called the police on them and they called the police on us. Seems there is no noise ordnance in our area. So we did some target practice.

But the boy is now over 16 and is more interested in cars and girls, so some of the crap has died down. I just ignore them and hope Mullet Head gets a job that keeps him busy throughout the day. But so far no one will hire him. Though his girlfriend has a good job and supports them all.

She seemed in pretty good spirits. But the Mullet Head hasn't been around for a week. Maybe he's gone for good.

I live in a rural area in AR and I swear to god one of my neighbors shoots almost constantly...every freaking day. It sounds like a war zone and frankly I'm scared to confront them, or even call the cops because they would know who it was.

Otherwise, I love living in the sticks. Kinda sucks to try and enjoy my garden while hearing constant pop shots though.
