Some more Senior humor!

We discovered our age group!

We are Seenagers (Senior teenagers). We have everything that we wanted as a teenager, only 60+ years later.

We don't have to go to school nor work.

We get an allowance every month.

We have our own iPad and/or cell phone.

We don't have a curfew.

We have a driver's license and our own car.

We have IDs that gets us into bars and the wine shops. We like the wine shops best.

The people we hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant, they aren't scared of anything, they have been blessed to live this long, why be scared?

And we don't have acne.

Life is Good! Also, you will feel much more intelligent after reading this if, and only if, you are a Seenager.

Brains of older people are slow because they know so much.

People do not decline mentally with age; it just takes us longer to recall facts because we have more information in our brains.

Scientists believe this also makes some of us hard of hearing as it puts pressure on our inner ear.

Also, us older people often go to another room to get something and when we get there, we stand there wondering what we came for. This is not a memory problem; it is nature's way of making us older people do more exercise.

SO THERE!!

We have more friends we should send this to, but right now we can't remember all their names.

So please forward this to your friends; they may be our friends, too.

6. My wife and I are in the same position.

Plus the added benefit of great grandchildren we get to spoil. We wrecked the grandchildren decades ago.

10. And the reason our heads are gray

is the experienced and knowledgeable gray matter on the inside of our heads. So powerful it spreads outward.

It's true. A lot of people are saying this.

11. The part about having everything we wanted when I was a teenager is totally true!

And I am enjoying every minute of it (except for Trump and the GOP's plot to destroy democracy in America). When I was a teenager I wanted what I have now and had no idea how much I would later value my youth, my good looks, and my unlimited energy.

15. This is a wee bit serious for such a fun post, but

regarding hearing loss...

My mother lived into her 90's by which time she had extreme hearing loss (90% with state of the art aids)

Her mother lived into her eighties with severe hearing loss - had she lived as long as Mom, it could well have been as bad s Mom's.

I was in my fifties when I learned that, when Mom was a child, a favorite corporal punishment was to "box her ears." If Mom got this, yu know her mother got the idea from her own mother.

I am in my seventies, an age by which both had started to experience noticeable hearing loss. I have not noticed any yet.

Coincidence?

16. I'm glad you brought this up! And no, there's no coincidence here.

Your mom realized that "boxing your ears" could be damaging--and so she didn't do that to you.

You had a great mom, my dear soldierant!

17. Why, thank you.

I did indeed, in many, many ways. In just about every way.

My husband has been known to say he didn't know what lve was until he met her. How many men can say that about their mother-in-law?

It's perfect, and oh, so true. You made my day! I'll pass it on, and post it around the house so I can refer to it often.

22. Hell & the hereafter

Also, us older people often go to another room to get something and when we get there, we stand there wondering what we came for. This is not a memory problem; it is nature's way of making us older people do more exercise.

I go to the shop, garden shed, or pantry and stand there thinking, "Now what the Hell am I here after?"
