Dear fellow Seniors, can you fill me in on a Medicare question?

I have Medicare Preferred and a supplement with Tufts. My question involves Dental coverage.
I have drug coverage but want to sign up for Dental if it provides for more than my current policy. I can get fillings and cleanings covered(w/copay) but:

I Googled "what does Medicare Dental Coverage cover". Of course, I got every dental provider as I scrolled down. When I got to the official Medicare page, it would not let me in unless I agreed to all kinds of things that I don't want to agree to.

Do any of you have Medicare Dental coverage and what the heck does it cover.
It is interesting what the government wants you to agree to.
Sign up is in a few days and I really need to see if the coverage is worth the cost.
Thanks,
PR

has dental which covers 2 cleanings/yr, 1 full XRay/yr, 1 filling/yr, and discounts on other repairs/crowns. Next year the plan is even better. Also get an allowance for eyewear per year. Check it out.

Zero premiums, zero c0-pays for PCP.
$25 co-pay for specialists.

Answers.

Ghey can even tell you specifically which plans offer what you seek, % of coverage, copays, & best premium for the ideal plan.

Also try your local senior center. Sometimes they have educational programs and/or the direct phone number for someone you can contact at Council on Aging.

Good luck!

3. Medicare doesn't cover most dental care

(including procedures and supplies like cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dentures, dental plates, or other dental devices).

Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) will pay for certain dental services that you get when you're in a hospital. Part A can pay for hospital stays if you need to have emergency or complicated dental procedures, even though it doesn't cover dental care.

Note:
Some Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C) offer extra benefits that Original Medicare doesn’t cover - like vision, hearing, or dental. Contact the plan for more information.

Medicare Advantage plans. Many have a supplemental coverage you pay a few dollars a month on.

There is also an extra plan in many that allows you to choose dental or vision, which ever you prefer.

Last year my supplemental insurance - Advantage - offered Delta Dental but the dentist office told me that I would first have to pay them and submit to the insurance. And it was not clear whether the level would be the same. So I ignored it.
