I'm that close...

I'm just not looking forward to all of the time and effort it would take if I DID confront THAT particularly persistent attitude.

I have a lot of things on my plate this week and I really don't need the distraction.

But I'm really considering whether or not it's worth it to care or not.

3. Oh, OK. Seeing the clip, I had to agree more with Talib than Bill.

On the other hand, seeing the Sanders clip, my sense of decorum, behavior, and politeness was rubbed the wrong way.

But, there's far less decorum and politeness involved in slaughtering people of color and burning down their churches.

And this song "It Isn't Nice" always seems to get to me - Barbara Dane and the (incredible) Chambers Brothers - just look and listen:

&list=PLq3hv7QkingzRc0zYWuxGBSeagec9gIYQ

They murdered folks in Alabama
They shot Medgar in the back
Would you say that wasn't proper
Did you stand out on the track
You were quiet just like mice
Now, you say that we're not nice . . .

Here's her website: http://www.barbaradane.net/Home.html

And here's the email I just received from her today:

Hello NBachers,
You know how to make an old lady smile~!
Thanks for your note, and you are now on email list just in case I do a show… sure to happen this fall, since I actually just made a new CD! Title is "Throw it Away…"

I love hearing about folks who enjoy my music and getting to know something about who they are. Been getting a few messages lately mentioning that album with the Brothers.. Maybe I should issue it again.. but then, not many folks buying CDs these days.

I still think folks of a "certain age" like to have the music in their hands, with pictures and info about the artists, etc. Your thoughts?

I'm working hard on my memoirs, and its a race against time.. I'm 88 yrs. now… so bye by, back to the book.
Thanks for writing!
Barbara

Time Has Come Today ~ Chambers Brothers

Time has come today
Young hearts can go their way
Can't put it off another day
I don't care what others say
They say we don't listen anyway
Time has come today
(Hey)

Oh
The rules have changed today (Hey)
I have no place to stay (Hey)
I'm thinking about the subway (Hey)
My love has flown away (Hey)
My tears have come and gone (Hey)
Oh my Lord, I have to roam (Hey)
I have no home (Hey)
I have no home (Hey)

Now the time has come (Time)
There's no place to run (Time)
I might get burned up by the sun (Time)
But I had my fun (Time)
I've been loved and put aside (Time)
I've been crushed by the tumbling tide (Time)
And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)

(Time)
Now the time has come (Time)
There are things to realize (Time)
Time has come today (Time)
Time has come today (Time)

Time [x11]

Oh
Now the time has come (Time)
There's no place to run (Time)
I might get burned up by the sun (Time)
But I had my fun (Time)
I've been loved and put aside (Time)
I've been crushed by tumbling tide (Time)
And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)

(Time)
Now the time has come (Time)
There are things to realize (Time)
Time has come today (Time)
Time has come today (Time)

Time [x4]
Yeah

Once again, the time has come today to end the oppression of people for 400 years who are 'tired of being shot at.'

I really like Bernie, but some of his supporters are clearly not interested in what blacks have to say.

They're hostile in many cases.

I just finally took some time to explain from my perspective why Bravenak would drop Bernie as her candidate because of the way his supporters attacked #BlackLivesMatter supporters after #Netroots Nation and Seattle.

It really was upsetting how bravenak and others were treated.

I think the group think we are seeing will continue until there is some kind of event that humbles, or forces them to remember they are just one small part of a very big world, and not everyone thinks like they do.

12. It's righteous that we're upset how Bravenak's voice was silenced on DU, GitRDun. It's Wrong.

It's not Democratic. "85% Bernie supporters" on DU.. that's quite an imbalanced jury pool.

The bottom line, and the curse of DU.
