I used to have a lot of respect for doctors--this guy, though, he's a MORON.

He must be able to memorize stuff really well, or something--he's plainly unable to think at even a basic level.

Is that a REAL quote? Is that IT? Is that the entire context? There's no "...because we were pushed into segregated communities where we rarely saw white people, and we didn't see a way clear to getting any social justice and were just trying to not get killed..." after that bit?

I know there are fake "goof" memes all over the place...if that's real, that's indeed some steaming stupid.

they haven't been paying attention to the very interesting shared characteristic of all high profile African American GOP KKKochroaches. They have something in common that you can SEE. It says something about their experience in the AA community and what they did with that experience. I think they are deepyl wounded individuals who are constantly striving for the approval of "white" folks.

My sister admires Ben Carson's story but her candidate is HRC. She doesn't vote for any candidate in the HATE party. But see that's part of the aweseomness of being African American. We can spot all the bullshit in a forest full of trees.

Out of the 17 16 of them (bye, Rick), who'd be the easiest to beat? It might be Carson. By comparison, Gilmore and Pataki, as blank slates who would probably run totally boring campaigns, are bigger threats. I don't think either of them would say anything as mind-boggling as this.

to a lot of racist views, which makes him scary to me. "Look, that black man agrees with me so I'm not a racist" is not a view I would want to promote even if he is easy to beat. I live among hard-core racists and bigots and the last think I want to do is give them cover.

btw you gave me a new word: fuckwittery. I looked it up to see the origin (British) and found "fucktardery" also. Ha! (You can tell I live a sheltered life not to know such.)

He gives cover and credibility to racists and self-loathing black people alike.

A very useful person to toss around when you want to discredit black people or black movements but don't have the courage or the influence to do it yourself.

1: did he stop doing surgery because of a neurological event that affected his dexterity, which perhaps also affected his internal control over his expression of ideas, and

2: did he eat lunch day to day in the faculty cafeteria with any other Hopkins medical professors and express his peculiar views on science (unrelated to surgery) to them over the daily special?

Carson was not a good neurosurgeon. He was a world class neurosurgeon. He achieved one of the holy grails of neurosurgery in developing a method to separate conjoined twins connected at the head, in a way that gave each a chance to live.

And he's going out sounding like a blithering idiot with remarks like the one above. Even if he's a republican who most certainly should not be president, that is kind of a shame.

for anyone of the 16-pack, but it definitely rings true for BC when I say that I wish he would've stayed out of politics. Some of the loonies might be eating his red meat, but it's highly doubtful he'll even get the GOP nomination. Their big donors have show time again that they don't want a novelty candidate. He's just a token shield like Fiorina, Jindal, Rubio, and Cruz are. I can only imagine some of his old colleagues now laughing or shaking their heads every time they hear him open his mouth. His knowledge when it comes to being a neurosurgeon is spectacular. Politics...not so much. I'm almost embarrassed for him.

Like his front tooth just fell out before he gave a speech at a breakfast meeting? I think something is wrong with his whole head -- next time that might be the thing falling into his scrambled eggs. Not that he wouldn't still give the speech, who'd notice a Republican speaking without any brains.

he grew up in Detroit , Michigan. In the 70's the NAACP filed a lawsuit against Michigan state officials that in the city of Detroit and other counties the officials had policies to maintain racial segregation in schools and unfair housing policies. So, he pretended this didn't happen. He didn't even grow up in the suburbs or in a white area, he grew up right in the midst of this crap.

No wonder he's got at least a couple of admirers here.

If you've got a strong stomach, behold!

I swear to God, when I hear stuff like this, I can understand why historically, so many black people have despised Uncle Toms more than they do even the most racist white person.

I doubt I would be alive or not imprisoned if I were Black and had to deal with the insane bullshit Black people deal with.

If some of them choose a path as absurd and stupid as the paths these 3 choose, for instance, I cant judge them.

I like it when other Black people judge them, because it shows even more courage in the face of ignorance.

And I support Black people who judge them.

I just dont do it.

a segment of white America embraces them so readily. He & his fellow travelers help explain why racism will never be a thing of the past. This makes me sad, and just a little bit sick.
