but those type of things would actually have been good for him to attend early on. but get rid of the microphone and go up to people and and have conversations with them one on one. ask for their support/votes and let them ask him what they want.

Since he's not a church type of leader, maybe he should try a different sort of venue! If you're not coming to the church to pray, then why come?
