Daredevil is coming to Netflix on April 10th

Marvel has finally revealed the release date for its upcoming Daredevil series: it's coming on April 10th. All 13 of the hour-long episodes from the first season of the Netflix-exclusive show will be available on that date, in every territory that the streaming service is available. The series will star Boardwalk Empire's Charlie Cox in the titular role, and is inspired by the "Man Without Fear" run of the comic book created by Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr.

I have little faith here. I expect disaster and hope I'm very wrong.

You are in fact very wrong. It's really good, and not just compared to other comic book shows. Of course, it might depend on how much you like/dislike Miller's time on the Daredevil comic, as the show draws fairly heavily from that era.

I'm amazed at how good it is.

I have very low expectations while simultaneously hoping for a certain level of quality, and I have to say that the show has greatly exceeded my hopes.

Terrific pacing, effective writing, solid acting, excellent characterizations, and really good Daredevil-style action sequences.

And beyond all of that, Vincent D'Onofrio's Fisk is jaw-droppingly good. I had set a very low standard after Duncan's unremarkable 2003 portrayal and ( ) Rhys Davies' failed effort in 1989.

D'Onofrio has remade him into both a very human and very terrifying figure.

8. I am a little bit concerned about their choice for Jessica Jones.

However, I am going to forego my skepticism, since I was also skeptical with Daredevil's lead until I saw it.

So, I'll just be a happy little camper and wait.

9. I never thought much of the character and Bendis' "writing" drove me away from Marvel comics.

That said, the producers hit it out of the park with Daredevil so I expect the casting and writing to be just as great for the other Netflix/Marvel series.

I am impressed with the quality of their productions that I am willing to forego skepticism and just allow myself to be a fan boy.
