His New Teen Titans and Tomb of Dracula magazine are, to me, two of the best runs of comics ever.

Not to mention other things like Crisis.

Never read much of Tomb of Dracula, but after I finish Werewolf by Night it is on my list of Marvel horror. After binge watching Daredevil last night on netflix to get ready for the Punisher in season 2, I would be remiss in saying after Miller, my fav daredevil writer was Wolfman.

of Usagi Yojimbo fame. Writing, pencilling, inking, and lettering -- Sakai is a one man band. His research is impeccable, so his silly-looking little animal samurai stories actually teach the reader quite a lot about the culture of Japan in the Edo Period.

He brought Marvelman back, only with a postmodern edge. In DC Moore created John Constantine. Without Moore we wouldn’t have seen Vertigo. This influence is massive.

His run on Swamp Thing was hugely influential and was the reason Constantine was created!
