(4,069 posts)Years ago I was the sous chef at Keeneland and I would take a mutuals clerk lady a sandwich or a dinner. She would mark my program. Her husband marked hers. He was a writer for The Daily Racing Form. Won a lot of money for a few years, he was good at picking horses that paid well. I have a couple of friend that are turf touting straight up gamblers that would study and watch work outs. They could never understand how I could beat them. I told them I took the jockeys soup.
Those folks are gone now. It was fun times.

(20,365 posts)Was planting my vegetable garden. Sweet corn, pop corn, bell peppers, Anaheim peppers and bush beans. This is early but it's been real warm in Denver this spring. Last freeze was over a month ago.
