Related: About this forumMiami radio host calls for Bryce Harper beaning
Many people commended Bryce Harper for how he handled the Ozzie Guillen situation during last nights game. Jonathan Zaslow and Marc Hochman, a morning sports talk radio duo for 790 The Ticket in Miami, were not in that group.
Zaslow and Hochman devoted some time to it on their show this morning, breaking down the incident for their listeners who may have missed it. After hearing them call Guillen quiet and professional, I think those listeners may have gotten an incorrect version of the story.
(Note to Zaslow and Hochman. I tried to determine which one of you was squawking at specific times while transcribing this. If I got it wrong, let me know and Ill rename you Yelly Guy 1 and Yelly Guy 2.)
I dont listen to Miami sports talk radio, so Im only guessing that these two have a failing segment called Buzz Off. Or Honk off, or something equally dumb. They ask listeners to call in with whats bugging them, and they set up this mornings segment with this suggestion:
Maybe its Bryce Harper if youre a true Marlins fan. Maybe its Bryce Harper, cause you dont get in my managers face. You dont get up in his grill, be pointing a bat at him. Youre a kid. Youre a kid, Ozzies 50 years old. Maybe thats honking you off.

(41,692 posts)The story is overblown horseshit....
Harper came to the majors with a *rep* but has been a good player so far .it's just hating on a damn good rookie from what I see.

(7,429 posts)They were joking about who on the Miami bench would take Ozzie's side. They knew it was Zambrano. They didn't really say they wanted him to be beaned, though.
