in fact I watched most of the 8th inning last night too. FP Santangelo had a radio show after Giants games for a bit before he got the Nats gig. I think Washington is the best team in the NL. The stats say so too...you shouldn't be happy with anything less than a WS appearance..

after 50+ years of either a bad team or no team at all. But the WS would be nice, and it looks like we will have to visit Frisco to get there.

The Reds aren't any picnic, but I'd prefer if they have to see the Nats it won't be until the NLCS...so I'm hoping you get the #1 seed.

but all the playoff teams are generally pretty solid in the bullpen. Chapman just does it with a little more flair..though I do remember him blowing a save against the Phillies in the 2010 NLDS. He's not infallible.

First playoff baseball in DC for 79 years. But let's not stop here! Let's get the division!

I was a Reds fan growing up, my first baseball game was at Riverfront stadium and I have a sweatshirt from the 1991 WS. So I'm happy for the Reds as well....

seeing Mike Leake pitch. I didn't get a chance to last time Cincy was in the post-season because he was given the rest of the season off due to an injury, Baker still used him as a pinch hitter late in the season. I haven't seen him pitch since the College World Series for Arizona State.

I'm pumped for this year's post-season. I barely payed attention last season because the usual suspects won their divisions as well as hideous Arizona. This year it looks like Baltimore & Oakland have a great shot, Washington made it, I was hoping Pittsburgh would but it looks doubtful.

I actually went to a couple games down there in the early 70's. The first game was either 70 or 71, a month or so after Riverfront opened. Of course they were playing the Pirates and the Buc's won. Got to see Roberto Clemente play!!

It was the redneck Red's fans of the early and mid 70's that pissed me off.

Hell, we gave the nation Mike Oxley, of Sarbanes/Oxley. Amazing you could have two opposites named on a bill.

I was happy for them, I have some ties to Johnstown and was sure they were thrilled early this season.
