He just grabbed a referee by the arm as the ref was running off the field after the game. That is a line that is not crossed.

(10,000 posts)The officiating was -- at best - inconsistent. I suspect the pressure will ratchet up on the NFL to get the experienced refs back. The refs also lost control of the end of the Bengals-Redskins game.
To your point -- it wasn't malicious, but it was improper. I'll guess $5,000 fine.

The replays weren't clear at all, and the ref had the best look at it.

(56,177 posts)It wasn't...and there was no way to challenge it because those calls cannot be over-ruled...the Pats were screwed...all NFL is getting screwed with these idiot replacement refs.
