Hopefully it goes better for the Packers than it did the Colts.
"Packers sit Aaron Rodgers vs. Lions"
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Backup Matt Flynn will start in his place.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy had been coy this week about his approach to Sunday's game after the Packers (14-1) clinched the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

(36,392 posts)I thought Caldwell should have let the Colts go for the 16-0, esp. since they had the Jets buried at half time. That's not an issue this time, and the Pack are down to starting their 4th & 5th tackles, and Ndomakong Suh is a really ill-tempered man. The Lions front 4 are capable of inflicting serious bodily harm, and Rogers might be the most valuable man in the league right now.

(56,177 posts)when they stopped trying against the Jets...you could tell no one was happy...stupid move by the coach.

(68,918 posts)Even without the fact that they won, they had no chance to go 16-0 and had already clinched home-field advantage. What else was worth injuring starters for? Especially with Scumbag Suh roaming the field, looking for cheap shots?
ESPN, making sports just a little more stupid every day.
