I had never seen that before. In fact, I didn't even know it existed...

with wins by Arizona, ASU, Stanford and Oregon..

The 2 BCS wins are better than any conference in the nation..

but they're one of top 3 best teams in the country, possibly the best. They've always had an explosive offense but their defense was excellent this season. They held one of the nation's best QBs to 4.7 YPA passing. Credit KState for "holding" Oregon to only 35 -- which was their second lowest score of the season.

particularly on defense after they got pushed around by LSU in the NC a couple years ago. While Stanford, starting with Harbaugh and now Shaw, has become one of the toughest teams in the nation. It's a whole new look to the PAC-12...

You may not like Oregon, I prefer UW and Stanford myself, but you have to admit their success and subsequent high profile has been good for the conference..

Outside of possibly the SEC's Alabama and Georgia, was there a conference with a better one-two punch than Stanford and Oregon out of the PAC-12?
