Serena Admits What We've All Known: She Doesn't Love Tennis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=T0Gs1-VercI

She's been out of shape and seemed not to care--except for the majors--for years now, but it's good to get confirmation. She does love shopping, though, so there's that...and she can someday return to those other careers she loved that have worked out so well, like being a fashion designer and an actress.

BTW, the constant playing with her weave? Annoying as fuck.

My mom was a very successful tennis player her childhood and teens but gave it up when she had the freedom to do what she wanted as an adult. Her father made her practice constantly and play in tennis matches. I imagine in many ways Serena's childhood was similar which took the fun out of it. I imagine with things like sports you have to want to do it on your own rather than someone drilling it into you.

...his hatred for the game, in large part because of his father forcing him to play and practice. And Agassi also went through bouts of being deconditioned and playing lethargically. But Serena has been like this for at least 5 years now without a respite. It seems like if she's that miserable, it might be a good time to retire. It's not like she needs the money.

She says that she played against his older sister in a match in Las Vegas I believe she says and saw his dad hitting balls with Agassi.

...... More power to her. Imagine her dominance if she "loved" tennis.

She has a lot of other interests - so what? I don't understand the vitriol directed at Serena sometimes.
