IMO

The easy one:
Pats beat Broncos

The fairly easy one:
Saints beat SF on the road

The pretty sure but don't bet the house one:
Ravens beat Houston

The tough one:
I think the Giants have at least a 30% chance in Green Bay.

_____________

The gut feeling ones:

Saints win on the road in NY or GB.

Ravens shut down Pats in a bad weather game.

______________

Chalk:

Saints win superbowl because the SB doesn't seem to favor defense.

1. All four of those games are interesting

Giants-Pack and Saints-Niners are the better games, but the Broncos played the Pats tough the first time and the Pats don't play defense. Ravens-Texans is an interesting game because of the contrasts in style and experience.

4. I've been liking SF all year when folks didn't think they were real

but QBs seem to come to the fore this time of year and nobody is hotter than Brees. (And Manning and Rogers.)

To win I think SF needs to really shut NO down. I don't know if they can.

The game that really intrigues me is GB-NY. If it was at a neutral site I'd flip a coin. I know the odd are that GB will win but I'm just not feelin' it.

5. I'm with you about not feeling it...

GB is the best team out there, but they're not unbeatable...quite frankly, any team left could beat them...whether they will is another story...I think there's a lot of parity between the teams left, especially on the NFC side.

6. GB feels like the 83-84 redskins

That was the best offensive team ever, at that point in time, and was two very close loses from 16-0... but it started to unravel and nobody could quite figure out why.

It's hard to go back to back. The had won the superbowl the previous year and then gotten better and better until they just kind of ran out of steam.

Granted, they made the superbowl that year before going belly-up, and they won their first playoff game something like 52-3...

If GB rolled over NY and murdered nice weather teams SF or NO on the frozen tundra who could be shocked?

But it's hard to go back-to-back.

3. Saints may find it harder to pull their magic show on the road.

It will be interesting to see- SF's defense is good enough to shut NO down. The Lion's defense was horrible, especially their last few games. This game may be different. But SF will have to be on fire. I personally think SF has more of a chance to beat NO than NY has of beating the Pack, but we shall see.

Packers 42 - Giants 20.
Saints 31 - 49ers 17.
Patriots 28 - Broncos 10.
Baltimore 17 - Houston 14.

Then ...

Packers 72 - Saints 69.

(Yeah, I know it's ridiculous, but...)

Baltimore 22 - Patriots 21.

Then...

Packers 25 - Baltimore 24.

Yes, I'm a homer. So what?

9. GB has to be the odds on favorite, so it ain't homerism.

I've been saying all season the Ravens are the best in the AFC and I know I'm being a little contrary in picking against GB so that all works for me.

I would like to see GB vs. NO in NO so it really could be 72-69. It's hard to imagine that score in GB in mid January... but this has been a mild winter.
