He's always been a sports talking head.

And, as you mentioned, McCarver is gone. edit: Mom, Republican Stepdad and I used to goof on McCarver with some frequency.

He was very coherent but talks really fast. And he talks a whole lot.

But I agree with you about Joe Morgan. He is not liked very well in this group, but ever since I met him and Jon Miller during the 2003 ALCS, I have a lot of respect for him.

They are both entertaining, knowledgeable, and bring an interesting perspective. This is especially true of Barkley.
