You disparage attendants for believing anything even though the article states that fans know it's fake. You make the unsupported claim that they "must be from red states" but WWE is a blue state company (CT) and the heart of their audience is in NYC.

It and so does his dad. Also, it's HUGE in NYC. The "E" stands for "Entertainment," by the way. It's not really my thing, but the stories can be fascinating.

It is a very violent soap opera. Concussions/CTE--etc

I was very into it too for awhile, I knew it was a soap opera but I liked the script until I noticed no title losses on basic cable but if pay $50 on PPV you see the new champion. I remember at the time Kurt Angle was the heavyweight champion, I really hated him but knew it was the writing. I remember the last "Smackdown!" or the other show before "Royal Rumble" but I remember at-the-end I think, the Rock but the referee controversially kept tapping when The Rock flopped before his hand reached the floor a third time. Kurt Angle was still champion. I actually paid for the Royal Rumble that year, I can't remember except that was the last & only one. I realized early that you'd have to pay good money to see major plot changes.

With his victory over the Rock, Angle became the first wrestler to have won both an Olympic Gold medal and the World title. Angle retained the WWF Championship for the rest of the year in matches with The Undertaker at Survivor Series and in a six way Hell in a Cell match at Armageddon.[36]

After beating Triple H at the Royal Rumble, Angle eventually lost the title to The Rock at No Way Out, after holding the WWF Championship for four months. He then feuded with Chris Benoit, whom he defeated at WrestleMania X-Seven but lost to him at Backlash in an Ultimate Submission match; Benoit defeated Angle four falls to three in sudden-death overtime. Continuing the feud, Angle again defeated Benoit in a two out of three falls match at Judgment Day. Benoit pinned Angle after an Angle Slam in a "Pinfalls Only" fall, and then Angle made Benoit submit with the ankle lock in the "Submissions Only" fall. Angle won the third fall, a Ladder match, with the help of Edge and Christian.

All those matches are on PPV events so that was when I stopped being a WWF/E fan.
