ARLINGTON -- A shooting victim was taken to the hospital and a suspect was in custody Sunday evening after a fight in the AT&T Stadium parking lot, Arlington police said.
Officers responded at about 8:30 p.m. to a report of a fight in Lot 10 at the stadium, said Arlington police spokesman Lt. Chris Cook. He said officers heard one gunshot, and that a male victim in his early 40s was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries.
I didnt think he was going to pull the trigger, said witness Lester Peters of Lufkin.
The suspect, who was injured when he tripped over a retaining wall, also was taken to a hospital.

(112,128 posts)The baseball stadium is relatively close to Jerryworld and traffic in Arlington was supposed to be a nightmare with the baseball game starting within an hour of the end of the football game. However, if a Patriot fan started to tell a tailgating Texan how to make barbecue then I could understand why there was a ruckus.
